Nepathya Peace Concert Tour – 2013
“Our concert tours have seen our Nation pass through war, political movements, transition and 2 CA elections.” said Amrit Gurung, the front man on Nepathya. “We have been longing for peace and the rights for education to all children. It seems the voice needs to be kept alive.”
As violence in politics still prevail, and society as well as the school and children continue to become victims of violence, Nepathya is now setting off on a new set of nationwide tour with the aim of giving continuity to voice the concerns of the voiceless children.
Nepathya is probably the most popular musical group in Nepal. When the right to movement and speech was curtailed for more than a decade during Nepal’s war and transition, Nepathya had toured across the nation on several occasions to spread the feeling of normalcy and retain the sense of hope among the people.
The theme of Nepathya tours has been ‘Education for Peace’ and ‘Sundar Shanta Nepal’.
